Environment Awareness

Protect Nature. Preserve the Future.

Environment Awareness

At Nishita Foundation Seva Samiti, we believe that a healthy environment is the foundation of a healthy society. With climate change, pollution, deforestation, and water scarcity threatening our planet’s future, it is our duty to take meaningful action at the community level. Environmental protection is not a choice—it is a necessity.

Through our Environment Awareness initiatives, we aim to educate, inspire, and empower communities in and around to live sustainably and become responsible caretakers of nature.

Our Vision

To build an eco-conscious society where individuals and communities actively participate in protecting, preserving, and nurturing the environment.

Our Objectives

  • Raise awareness about environmental issues among citizens of all ages

  • Promote eco-friendly practices in rural and urban communities

  • Encourage youth participation in climate and sustainability efforts

  • Restore green cover through plantation drives

  • Advocate for clean water, clean air, and plastic-free surroundings

Our Key Initiatives

1. Tree Plantation Drives

We organize large-scale tree plantation campaigns in:

  • Schools and colleges

  • Public parks and government lands

  • Villages, slum areas, and along roadsides

We involve local children, women, and volunteers to build a sense of ownership and responsibility for each tree planted.

2. Cleanliness & Sanitation Campaigns

Under our “Clean Moradabad – Green Moradabad” mission, we:

  • Conduct regular cleanliness drives in public areas

  • Educate people on waste segregation and composting

  • Collaborate with municipal bodies for better waste management

3. Plastic-Free Awareness Programs

To fight the plastic pollution crisis, we:

  • Distribute cloth and jute bags in markets and slum areas

  • Educate vendors and consumers about the hazards of single-use plastics

  • Conduct workshops on sustainable alternatives

4. Water Conservation Workshops

We educate rural families, farmers, and youth about:

  • Rainwater harvesting

  • Efficient water use in agriculture

  • Reducing water wastage at home

  • Rejuvenating ponds and local water bodies

5. School & College Engagement

We partner with educational institutions to:

  • Organize environment quizzes, poster-making, and eco-competitions

  • Conduct eco-clubs and nature camps

  • Develop young “Green Ambassadors” who lead by example

Impact Highlights

  • 3,000+ saplings planted across Moradabad and surrounding areas

  • Conducted 100+ awareness sessions in schools, slums, and rural communities

  • Engaged over 1,500 students and volunteers in environmental projects

  • Helped build awareness on plastic alternatives and zero-waste practices

Youth for Nature

We believe today’s youth are tomorrow’s climate leaders. Through nature clubs, student drives, and eco-volunteering, we are nurturing young minds to lead the environmental movement in their own communities.

Why This Matters

Environmental degradation leads to:

  • Increased health risks (air pollution, waterborne diseases)

  • Poor agricultural productivity

  • Water scarcity and droughts

  • Extreme weather events and disasters

Our grassroots efforts are essential in creating long-term environmental balance and resilience in local ecosystems.

Our Future Plans

  • Launch an Environment Education Van for rural schools

  • Set up a Model Eco-Village using sustainable farming, solar energy, and zero-waste practices

  • Collaborate with climate-focused NGOs and institutions

  • Develop a “Green Training Centre” for workshops on composting, urban gardening, and recycling

How You Can Contribute

  • Volunteer in plantation and cleanup drives

  • Donate reusable bags, dustbins, saplings, or solar lamps

  • Sponsor an awareness camp in a rural village or school

  • Reduce, reuse, and recycle in your own home—and inspire others
